Healthcare IT Today.com

No Comments 02 February 2010

Gwen Darling is the genius behind this blog aimed at Healthcare IT professionals. Launched Monday, February 1, 2010 with several writers already committed to contributing, it has a great head start. And Darling’s Midas Touch will likely propel this sites stats quickly. Facebook and Twitter are already in the works.

HealthcareITToday.com uses the WooTheme “Busy Bee” with only a few extra plug-ins to allow for some of the RSS Feeds and such to pull in job listings. A clean design, and Darling’s great eye for simple, but engaging, images, make for a great blog.

The Zombie Art Gallery

No Comments 09 December 2009

zombieartgallery

This wonderful diversion of a website came from the creativity of Abi Post of Seattle, Washington.

The images began as a series of illustrations depicting how my sister and I would deal with a zombie uprising. The images progressed to an exploration of the zombie theme as applied to both expected and unlikely zombie characters with acrylic on canvas.

The Zombie Art Gallery was a modified WordPress template called “Autofocus.” A derivative of Futurosity Aperio Prototype by Robert Ellis, AutoFocus is a Wordpress theme specifically for photographers looking for a simple and elegant way to display their work online. Mighty Creative knew the Zombie Paintings would work well to tease the viewer into seeing more. Even if they were afraid too!

Check out the Zombie art and contact Abi to have a Zombie lurking in your home or office.
