Another indie feature-length film!

Cory is excited to begin work in 2010 with another Indie feature-length film. Punchdrunk Lovesick Sing-a-long (recently re-named Falling…) is a romantic comedy written, directed, and starring Mateo Moreno. Playing the role of STEVEN, Cory hopes to bring some dry, southern charm to this wonderful and hilarious screenplay. If this film turns out half as funny as the table read through… we’ll have some great footage for the reel!

Next up? A psycho thrill-feature film!

Hopefully in the midst of this horrible economy Cory’s next project will not become yet another victim to what is quickly becoming a dead season for the Independent features. The psycho thriller-feature film, 9-Run-Run, is set to begin shooting later this month in which Cory will play arrogant-rich kid, MARCUS SCHAFFER. This one promises to be full of excitement and adventure… but not for the faint of heart!

The Permanent Night

Receives 5 STARS from TIMEOUT NY
Description
***** (five stars) Set in the Upper East Side during the 2003 blackout, The Permanent Night focuses on the tumultuous relationship between Spencer and his wife, Heather, as they wait in their darkened apartment for his troubled little sister to arrive. A deeply satisfying emotional roller coaster, with peaks of gut-wrenching laughter and lows that bring you close to tears, The Permanent Night bridges the harsh realities of a helter-skelter world with the intimately personal struggles of coping with death, betrayal and shame. “Everything that happens to you leaves an indelible mark—a tattoo, if you will,” notes playwright Kari Bentley-Quinn in the program, but her play more intriguingly suggests that impermanence gives life its value and meaning. (The inseparability of love and loss empowers each of them: If something lasts forever, can it still be precious?) Are the intoxicating effects of this play indelible? It’s too early to say, but they stay with you long after the closing scene.—Quinn Marquardt
